Youth Inactivity Highest in India Among Emerging Markets, Says IMF

IMF Senior Economist John Bluedorn said that youth inactivity is the highest in India compared to other emerging economies. He was speaking at an event organized by Brookings India when he said that youth inactivity is about in 30% in India which is a term used for youngsters who are neither going to schools nor jobs. He said that some of the biggest challenges that are faced by the youth in emerging economies include poor job quality, technological changes, and gender gaps.
