Automobile Dealers Consider GST Changes a “Burden”, Want Them Removed

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (Fada) said that the new changes that were made to the GST Act recently will make the cash flow suffer even more for the automobile dealers across the country.

The federation said that the addition of section 49A in the GST Act has put an additional burden on their working capital requirements. They said that the new norms dictate that the IGST credit must be utilized first, and SGST and CGST credit should be utilized only after IGST credit has depleted. This will have a huge impact on the cash flow of the auto industry, it said.
