Old PCs Costing Indian SMBs 1 Lakh Per Unit

According to a study that was commissioned by Intel and Microsoft, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that are using computer systems older than 4 years might be spending a whopping  ₹93,500 on each device in maintenance costs, an amount that can cover the cost of 3-4 new-gen computers.

The study was conducted on over 2,000 SMEs across India, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, and Australia. It was found that 39% of small businesses and 49% of large businesses are still using outdated computer systems even though they have serious security risks and high maintenance costs.
