The Centre for Digital Financial Inclusion (CDFI) said that the government has transferred over ₹1,600 crores to beneficiary mothers under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) via Direct Benefit Transfer scheme.

CDFI is a non-profit organization that developed the PMMVY-CAS (Common Application System) through which the funds were transferred to eligible mothers.

PMMVY offers eligible mothers who are pregnant or lactating a cash incentive of ₹5,000 in three installments.
