Insurance Companies Now Offering Customer Service on WhatsApp

In this digital age where social media, email, and messenger apps have become the preferred means of communication over calling on the phone, insurance companies seem to have started taking a cue. Case in point, two of the biggest players in this space, i.e., Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance are now offering policyholder information services on WhatsApp.

ICICI was the first to launch WhatsApp-based customer service under which customers are now allowed to receive welcome kits, policy certificates, etc. Following its lead, Aditya Birla launched its own service just a few days later.
