Government to Set Up National Center for Artificial Intelligence

In a bid to simplify governance, the NDA government is looking to set up a national center for artificial intelligence which is aptly named the National Artificial Intelligence Center.

According to government officials, the work for launching the center has already begun and it may become operational by as soon as July this year. The center itself will come under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and work with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), and the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
