Budget 2019: Budget Allocation for Startup India Shrunk to ₹25 cr

The government has decreased the budgetary allocation for the Startup India programme in the Budget 2019 to ₹25 crores in FY20 against the ₹28 crores in FY19. However, it has increased the allocation for the “Make in India” programme to ₹473.3 crores in FY20 from ₹149 crores in FY19. 

Make in India campaign is a government initiative that aims to support domestic manufacturing. It was launched on September 25, 2014.
