2 Million WhatsApp Accounts Blocked Per Month Due to Bulk Messages

WhatsApp is blocking at least 2 billion accounts every month that are found to be involved in bulk messaging and as many as 75% of the accounts that are not recording user activities.

The messaging service company said that it’s taking active measures now as the general elections are nearing and users may use its service to send automated messages or abuse the service through other means. It said that it’s able to detect fake accounts at the time of registration itself and is banning around 20% of the accounts during the initial steps.
