Walmart Looks to Hire 1,000 Techies in India

In a bid to compete against top rivals like Amazon, international retailer Walmart is planning to hire as many as 1,000 individuals for its tech operations in India.  At present, its technology operations are located in Gurugram and Bengaluru and has 1,800 employees. 

Walmart CEO Clay Johnson said that the company is trying to be more product-oriented and doing a lot of different things. For instance, they have Walmart Labs which is e-commerce, My Group which is global business services, etc. He also said that the company has moved complete projects to drive their Indian ownership.
