Transportation Sector Could be All Electric-Driven by 2030, Says EV Expert

According to electric vehicles (EV) expert Ashok Jhunjhunwala who is also a professor at IIT Madras, with the EVs set to be the future of the auto industry, the Indian transport sector could become 100% electric-driven by 2030.

Jhunjhunwala said that there is a need for innovative alternative solutions for the EV technology adoption and technologies like Internet of Things (IoT) can be used to make the most of EV batteries. He also said that more R&D should be done on the size, weight, and cost of batteries so that smaller size batteries can be produced for faster transition.
