Tamil Nadu Top-Performer in NITI Aayog’s List of Poverty Reduction

A NITI Aayog report has revealed that Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura, Mizoram, and Uttrakhand are the top Indian states that are working towards poverty reduction as per the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN. It also said that Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh as also “aspiring” to follow the lead of the top performers. 

The report said that Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Puducherry are doing incredibly well by implementing 13 of the 17 SDGs which include reducing hunger, malnutrition, etc.
