SBI Denies Cash Crunch in Northeast India

Putting an end to the prevailing rumors about dry ATMs in Northeast India on the social media, public sector State Bank of India said that there is no cash crunch in that area.

PVSLN Murthy, who is the chief general manager of SBI’s Northeast Circle said that they have an official record of 88-90% cash availability in the ATMs. He said that there might be a few power or network-related issues due to heavy rains and storms, but overall the condition of cash availability is good in the Northeast states.
