SBI Customers to be Soon Asked to Replace ATM Cards

Following the central bank’s directive for the banks asking them to issue only PIN-enabled and chip-based credit and debit cards, public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI) has asked its customers to replace their magnetic stripe ATM cards with the more secure EMV chip-based cards.

SBI tweeted that all the customers should replace their cards by December 31. As a customer, you can check if your card is chip-based if there is a golden chip on the top-left corner of the card.
