Money From 28 Countries Withdrawn in Cosmos Cyber Fraud

In one of the latest developments in the cyber fraud case involving Cosmos Bank, the police said around Rs. 78 crores were withdrawn in 28 countries including UAE, Russia, USA, and UK with the help of cloned ATM cards.

Jyotipriya Singh, who is the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Cyber and Economic Offences Wing) said that it is likely that the hackers did some kind of study on the bank.

Earlier this month, Pune-based Cosmos bank’s ATM switch server was targeted by hackers who store the details of numerous Rupay and VISA ATM cards.
