Rs. 1,000 Cr Approved for MSMEs in the North-East: Official

According to a senior government official, the central government has approved Rs. 1,000 crores for the implementation of a variety of schemes that aim to help the micro, small, and medium enterprises in North-East India. 

Director of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises-Development Institute, Guwahati M Sreenivasulu said that the schemes are central sector schemes in which a certain portion of the budget is allocated for SCs, STs and the North Eastern states. However, the benefits of these schemes are yet to reach the target group successfully due to lack of awareness.
