RBI to Issue New Series of ₹100 Currency Notes

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that it will soon release new ₹100 currency notes that will bear the signature of the new Governor Shaktikanta Das into circulation. However, the design of these notes will be similar to those that are being used today i.e. in the Mahatma Gandhi (new) series.

The ₹100 denomination currency notes that were released by the central bank previously will continue to be legal tender, an official statement said.
