People with Income up to ₹9.5 lakhs Can Prevent Tax Liability, Says Piyush Goyal

Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said that the government has proposed income tax changes to help the poor and middle-class families. He said that now those who are earning up to ₹9.5 lakhs per year can easily prevent tax liability by investing in saving schemes, insurance, etc.
Addressing the Finance Bill debate, Goyal said that he has not proposed changes in the tax rate itself. However, he has added certain rebates that can push spending and boost the economy, he said.
