Ola to Buy Custom-Made Electric Vehicles

Ride-sharing platform Ola is currently in talks with some of the top automobile makers in India to purchase custom-made electric vehicles as a part of its plan to provide environment-friendly means of transportation to the public.
According to three people who are aware of the developments, the e-vehicles that are dubbed as “special purpose vehicles” will be designed by Ola itself to some extent. They also said that the discussions with the automakers are especially regarding the battery management systems that are suitable for a mass scale operation.
