Not a Single Initiative Implemented by the Centre, Say Activists

On 30th November in New Delhi, political leaders and social activists rebuked the NDA government for ignoring the plight of the farmers and claimed that it hasn’t implemented a single initiative in the interest of the farmers in the past 4.5 years.

Medha Patkar who is an activist from the Narmada Bachao Andolan and was addressing a gathering of over 3,500 farmers alleged that the Government has always been aligning its interest with the corporates. Similarly, General Secretary of the All India Kisan Mahasabha (AIKM) Rajaram Singh alleged that the government converted “black money into white money” under the pretext of demonetization.
