India Ranks 115 in World Bank’s Human Capital Index

The World Bank recently released its very first Human Capital Index (HCI) covering 157 countries in which India ranked 115. However, the Union government has dismissed the report and said that it will it ignore it and continue to work towards improving quality and ease of life for all children.

On the index which considered various parameters including child mortality, education, and health, even neighboring countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh have performed better than India by securing ranks 74, 102, and 106 respectively.
