India Fast-Growing Economy but Many Living Below Poverty Line: NGT Chairman

Justice Adarsh Kumar Kumar Goel, Chairman National Green Tribunal said that India’s economy is growing fast which has helped it earn respect around the world. However, there are still a large number of people in the country that are living below the poverty line.
Goel was speaking at an event at the Raj Bhawan when he said that there are still many districts in Odisha where people don’t have enough clothes to cover their bodies. He said that many use just a single piece of cloth to cover themselves even after 70 years of independence.
