Here’s What You Should do if You Have Sent Money to a Wrong Bank Account
November 27, 2018
In this digital age where money transfers via digital channels are nearly instant, many people end up sending money to a wrong bank account. In case that has happened to you, then you can take the following steps:
- Contact your bank’s manager and explain the situation.
- Contact the manager of the bank branch in which the account of the beneficiary exists. However, they can reverse the transaction only if the customer grants the permission.
- If the beneficiary agrees to return the money, the bank can facilitate that. However, if they don’t agree, then you have no choice other than taking a legal course.
