Govt Begins “Insurance Manthan” for State-Owned General Insurers

Finance ministry has decided to organize a two-day meet “insurance manthan” on a yearly basis in which the senior executives from public sector general insurance companies will discuss ways to improve and modernize the industry in India. 

Financial services secretary Rajeev Kumar recently tweeted that the initiative will focus on six core themes which are customer orientation, fully-insured society, sustainable and prudent business, digital and analytics for sustainable business, talent management, and reach for everyone. The first meeting was held in New Delhi on Oct 6th.
