Government Approves 10% Quota for “Economically Weak” Section in Upper Class

The government has decided to offer 10% reservation in jobs to the “financially weak” individuals from the general category. A constitutional amendment bill will be presented in the Parliament today, sources said.

They said that the new quota will be added above the existing 50% reservation in the government jobs today. It will be most likely offered to those whose annual income is below ₹8 lakhs and who aren’t availing any other form of reservation.
