Fake Social Media Followers Hard to Get Rid of: Report

According to a new report by analytics firm Points North Group, Unilever’s efforts towards shaking off influencers with fake followers have been in vain so far. It says that around 25% of Instagram followers of the Dove brand are fake even though the industry average is just 14%. The report said that more than 1 billion USD was spent on influencers by marketers in the US last year.
