Facebook Unveils GOAL, a Digital Skilling Initiative for Women

This Thursday, Facebook rolled out Going Online As Leaders (GOAL) initiative that aims to inspire, guide, and skill tribal girls in different parts of the country to become digital leaders for their communities on village level.

The social media giant is focusing on Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and West Bengal under GOAL and looks to appointing 25 women leaders. They will mentor 4 girls from each tribal community from these states on digital literacy through WhatsApp or Facebook on fortnightly basis.
