Facebook to Train 50 Lakh Individuals in Digital Skills

Social media giant Facebook is planning to train 50 lakh Indians with digital skills in 3 years so that even small businesses can reach the global economy. It has already trained over a million individuals in 48,000 villages and 150 cities under 10 different programmes with support from 50 partners. 

Facebook’s Public Policy Director (South and Central Asia) Ankhi Das said that the company has a strong relationship with local partners and State Governments. He said they are excited about programmes like SheMeansBusiness, BoostYourBusiness, etc. that are implemented with these institutes across the country to bring about an economic transformation.
