10% Quota for General Category Poor to Provide 23,000 Jobs in Railways

Railways Minister Piyush Goyal said that by implementing the 10% reservation quota for financially weak individuals under general category, Indian Railways will offer 23,000 jobs in the next two years. He said that as many as 1.31 lakh individuals are expected to be hired in the next six months, followed by another 1 lakh in two years. He also said that Indian Railways will be the first government department to implement the 10% quota.
