Telangana FM Etela Rajender Opposes Inclusion of Liquor, Fuel Under GST

Opining that Telangana will suffer massive financial losses if petrol and diesel are brought under the GST regime, State Finance Minister Etela Rajender opposed the idea. He said that the decision will only “hurt the federal spirit” of the nation.
Rajendra said that the states should have the control over their economy. He suggested that instead of reducing VAT on fuel, the central government should slash excise duty to lower the prices.
