Solar Installations Declining Due to Lack of Clarity in GST

During the third quarter of the current financial year, around 1,589 megawatts (MW) worth of solar installations were done compared to 1,659 MW worth of solar installations that were done during the second quarter. Also, during the third quarter of the previous financial year, a whopping 2,278 MW worth of solar installations were done. This sharp drop in the industry is attributed to the lack of clarity around the GST rates, and land and transmission issues, CEO of Mercom Capital Group, Raj Prabhu said.
