SEZ’s Exports Grew 15% During FY18

The Export Promotion Council for EoUs and SEZs (EPCES) said that exports from the Special Economic Zones increased by 15% to Rs. 5.5 lakh crores during the financial year 2017-18 compared to Rs. 4.6 lakh crores in the previous fiscal.
EPCES said that the exports sector is showing good growth even though there are deterrents like dividend distribution tax, minimum alternative tax, etc. It said that the US, UK, UAE, Singapore, and Australia are some of the biggest export destinations for India.
