Rs. 38,000 cr Worth of Exporters’ Refund Claims Cleared by Govt

The government has cleared GST refunds worth Rs. 38,062 crores to the exporters. This comprises of IGST refunds of Rs. 21,142 crores, RFD-01A refund of Rs. 9,923 crores by Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), and RDF-01A refund of Rs. 6,997 crores by the states.
Last month, the government said that around Rs. 14,000 crores worth of exporters’ refunds were stuck due to discrepancies in the records. As a result, CBIC organized a special refund drive to speed up the pending clearances.
