Rs. 20 Crore of Bitcoins Stolen in India’s Biggest Virtual Currency Scam

438 bitcoins amounting to over Rs. 20 crores were stolen from a major exchange firm in India recently which is regarded as the biggest cryptocurrency theft of all time.

Delhi-based virtual currency exchange firm Coinsecure has alleged that its Chief Security Officer (CSO) Amitabh Saxena stole nearly Rs. 20 crores worth of bitcoins from the firm’s wallet. In addition to that, it has urged the government to freeze his password lest he should try to evade the country just like Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.

Saxena has been booked under the Section 66 of the IT Act with the Delhi Cyber Cell and an investigation has been initiated.
