Rs. 15,000 cr Ammunition Project Finalized by Indian Army

The Indian Army has finalized a massive Rs. 15,000 crore project involving the production of critical weapons and tanks after years of deliberations. This will resolve the erstwhile issues of imports delays and the shortage of ammunition stocks.

Under the supervision of the Army and the Defence Ministry, the ambitious project will be carried out by 11 private firms, sources said. Two of the main goals of the project are to create enough ammunition for the army to fight a month-long war and limit the dependence on imports.
