Revenue from Indian Media and Entertainment Industry to Cross 33 bn USD by 2021

As per the joint report that was released by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Chartered accountancy firm Ernst and Young (EY), Indian media and entertainment industry will generate around 33.3 billion USD worth of revenue by 2021 by benefitting from digital growth and inflow of foreign investments. In 2018, its total revenue stood at 23.9 billion USD. 

The report said that digital media revenue grew by 42% last year while that of film and television grew by 12.2% and 12%, respectively.
