Real Estate Received 19% Less PE Investments in FY18

Property consultancy firm Knight Frank released a report recently in which it said that private equity (PE) investments in India’s real estate sector have dropped nearly 19% on year-over-year basis. However, it said that the investments were ever-increasing for many years since 2014.

The report said that the overall PE investments in India have reduced by only a marginal 5%. It also said that in the past few years, transparency has been increased in the real estate sector, thanks to several government reforms.
