Rajasthan to Receive USD 250 mn from World Bank for Power Distribution

The Utranion Finance Ministry announced that the Rajasthan government will receive a massive loan of 250 million US dollars from the World Bank for improving its electricity distribution center. 

The ministry said that the Second Programmatic Electricity Distribution Reform Development Policy Loan for Rajasthan is the second tranche that completes the two-part plan. It aims to completely transform the electricity distribution sector in Rajasthan and provide electricity to nearly 9.5 million customers.  The first loan was sanctioned in March 2017.
