Private players in Banking sector snatching market from PSU banks
April 12, 2017
Be it telecom sector, or aviation, entrance of private competitors always overtakes the state-run companies. Competition and spirit of growth remains the biggest reason for this. Now the banking sector is walking on the same footprints.
Even after SBI consolidation, the Nationalised banks are expected to get only 20-30 percent of the total market.
State-run banks are so much overburdened with the NPA, that they are not able grow on the corporate side.
It is only the private competition that will take care of improved user services and reduced costs, but since private sector is in the field only for growing and competing, it is almost impossible for the State run bodies to overgrow/over perform them.
