Paytm Working on “Credibility Score” Technology for Banks

Domestic mobile wallet and payments bank company Paytm is working on a new technology that can help calculate a credibility score for the individuals seeking loans from the banks.

CEO Harinder Takhar said that the mechanism will be of great help to the banks in reducing non-performing assets by approving loans only for those who have a high credibility score. He said that the score can be calculated on the basis of the transactional history of an individual, which alone can tell a lot about their behavior.
