Over 1 Lakh Companies Were Struck Off This Financial Year

Minister of State for Corporate Affairs P P Chaudhary told the Rajya Sabha that the names of 1,00,150 companies were stuck off during the financial year 2018-19 up to November 30. He said that the names of 2,26,166 companies were struck off during the financial year 2017-18.

Chaudhary said that the Companies Act, 2013 allows the government to remove the names of the companies from the register if they are not found to be carrying out any business activities for two consecutive years.
