New National Electronics Policy Approved, Targets 1 cr Jobs

This Tuesday, the Union Cabinet approved a new electronics policy that looks to creating a 400 billion USD industry by 2025 to generate employment for one crore individuals across the country. 

Law and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the National Electronics Policy 2019 is aimed at increasing mobile manufacturing in India to 1 billion units out of which 600 million units can be exported. He said that it also aims at improving the manufacturing for the electronics required by the defense and other strategic sectors.
