National Electronics Policy Targeting $1 Trillion Digital Economy to be Rolled Out Soon

Electronics and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the Center has almost finalized the National Policy on Electronics that aims to push electronics manufacturing in the country. He said that the government aims to create a $1 trillion digital economy. 

Prasad said that more than 240 companies in the country are manufacturing mobile phones and their components which can give employment to 5 lakh people. He also urged electronics companies to focus on manufacturing automobile, defence, and medical devices.
