Narendra Modi Invites Norway Firms to Invest in India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who attended a bilateral meeting with Norwegian Premier Erna Solberg recently expressed India’s openness in foreign investments and invited the Norwegian firms along with Norway’s pension fund to invest in India.

As per the statement of the Norwegian government, Modi urged Norwegian State Pension Fund Global to invest in new sectors in India.

It’s worth noting that the Pension fund has increased its investment in India in the past few years. It invested only 2.5 billion in 2016, but in 2017 it increased the amount to a whopping 11.7 billion.
