NABARD to Release Rs. 10,000 cr for Punjab

To contribute towards agriculture and rural development in Punjab in the financial year 2018-19, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) plans to disburse as much as Rs. 10,000 crores to the state.

NABARD’s Chief General Manager J P S Bindra said that the bank had lent Rs. 8,000 crores to the state in FY18. He said that they have proposed to increase the short-term refinancing support as well through crop loans at lower rates which was Rs. 5,258 crores in FY18.
