NABARD Asked to Start Pension Process in RRBs

The National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) has been directed by the Union government to initiate the pension scheme for more than 30,000 retired employees of the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). This comes as a result of the employees demanding parity in pension with the nationalized bank employees earlier this year.

The chairmen of the RRBs and the chief executives of their sponsor banks have been asked to implement the decision through a notice sent by the government.
