Logistic Sector to Create 3 Million Jobs in 4 Years

According to a report by TeamLease Services, a New Delhi-based HR firm, the logistics sector will create 3 million jobs by 2022.  It said that the road freight industry will create 1.9 million jobs alone, which makes for around 63% of the total jobs.

The report said that 1.74 million of the new jobs will be accounted by Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. In addition to that, 0.68 million jobs will be provided by Pune, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. At present, the logistics sector employs 10.9 million people in the country.
