Krishnamurthy Subramanian Appointed as CEA for Three Years

This Friday, the government appointed Krishnamurthy Subramanian as the next Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) to the Finance Minister for a term of 3 years. He will be filling the position that was vacant for more than a few months now after former CEA Arvind Subramanian stepped down from the office saying that he will go back to the US for personal reasons. 

Krishnamurthy Subramanian is an associate professor of finance and executive director at the Indian School of business. He is expected to take the position in the next 10 days.
