Joblessness Prevails: 44% Indians Worried About Unemployment, Says Survey

According to a study by IPSOS “What Worries the World”, as many as 44% of Indians are worried about the lack of employment in the country. The study said that while millions of Indians join the job market every year, the majority of them are unable to find employment.

Supporting IPSOS’s study is another report by Azim Premji University that says that job creation in India is falling behind the nation’s GDP growth. It says that while the GDP is growing at 6-7%, jobs marked a growth rate of a mere 1% in the recent years.
