Job Creation in Tech Industry to Decline This Year

As per the early indications from the IT industry, only 2.5 lakh jobs will be created this year compared to circa 3 lakh jobs last year.

An official from the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) said that they predict around 2.5 lakh jobs this year. Although the number of jobs offered to college pass-outs in the tech industry will largely remain the same, professionals with 2-8 years of experience may observe a decline.

Supporting NASSCOM’s projections, HR firm Kelly Services said that it expects around 7-10% decline in tech jobs this year.
