ITC Joins Hands with NITI Aayog to Help Farmers Increase Income

FMCG Major ITC said that it has teamed up with NITI Aayog to train around 2 lakh farmers in India in enhancing their crops’ productivity that will help them increase their incomes.
The partnership will be maintained at least up to April 2022 during which both parties will focus on 25 “aspirational districts” in 7 states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.
Under the partnership, trainers will be appointed to create templates for seasonal planning at the gram panchayat level, and a Project Management Committee will be set up at the district level, etc.
